I’ve been asked to come up with suggestions for HR packages that integrate well with SharePoint.
Either being based entirely on SharePoint, or allowing tight integration.
Can anyone suggest any?
Hi Zayn .. since replying the first time we’ve now built a directory to showcase nearly all of the HR providers. Check out the HR SharePoint Software category.
Why don’t you try to use a HR portal with Office 365 SharePoint app? 365Appz SharePoint accelerator package is the solutions for custom branding. You can build and edit your portal as per your requirement. Check out in Collab365 tools directory SharePoint Accelerators Package
Please, see EffectiveStaff, the HRMS entirely on SharePoint. www.lanteria.com

Hi Zayn,
I work for SP Marketplace and we offer a full featured suite of business applications designed for SharePoint and Office 365. The applications are sold individually or at a discount if you buy the entire suite. They can be quickly implemented into either platform and are customizable to your business. The applications are also very reliable and are offered at a competitive price.Â
Check out our HR application page if you would like to learn more:Â http://www.spmarketplace.com/hr.html
To more fully answer your question: some of our competitors for this product are: Lanteria and Towerswatson
Please contact me or through the SP Marketplace website if you have any questions at all.
Hi Zayn, I trust you are well?
In this case, the guy who makes the best software of it’s kind runs the place. Mark’s solution is definitely complete for what it does.
But as I would say to any client who approached me with this we would need to get some information architecture and user experience down first. How does HR work, what do they do and what components are important to them?
Going into HR and finding out these questions from the staff themselves is the only sure fire way to make sure your list of requirements is as complete as it can be.
Then finding the correct off the shelf component to suite those needs will be far easier to meet.
Putting anything in place without a strong foundation of groundwork first will 9 times out of 10 end up in disaster.
I have to also note almost all of the functionality except for legal requirements for policies are procedures in a generic HR department are covered in an ootb teamsite using task lists and calendars. The mysites would offer personal task lists which you could surface to in the UI in some sort of personal widget bar. It’s that functionality that is non generic which will be important.
