I’ve been asked to come up with suggestions for HR packages that integrate well with SharePoint.
Either being based entirely on SharePoint, or allowing tight integration.
Can anyone suggest any?
Hi Zayn, I trust you are well?
In this case, the guy who makes the best software of it’s kind runs the place. Mark’s solution is definitely complete for what it does.
But as I would say to any client who approached me with this we would need to get some information architecture and user experience down first. How does HR work, what do they do and what components are important to them?
Going into HR and finding out these questions from the staff themselves is the only sure fire way to make sure your list of requirements is as complete as it can be.
Then finding the correct off the shelf component to suite those needs will be far easier to meet.
Putting anything in place without a strong foundation of groundwork first will 9 times out of 10 end up in disaster.
I have to also note almost all of the functionality except for legal requirements for policies are procedures in a generic HR department are covered in an ootb teamsite using task lists and calendars. The mysites would offer personal task lists which you could surface to in the UI in some sort of personal widget bar. It’s that functionality that is non generic which will be important.
