I’ve been asked to come up with suggestions for HR packages that integrate well with SharePoint.
Either being based entirely on SharePoint, or allowing tight integration.
Can anyone suggest any?
Thanks Mark,
This for a company of roughly 250 people, and we require a pretty fully feature solution. So almost everything you’ve suggested we’ll need. (Recruitment, Appraisals, person info, Holidays, Total Reward calculations etc.)
I’m about to start reading some Gartner reports on the topic, but thought I’d ask the community and see what comes up.
Hi Zayn
What do you want the packages to do ? Managing an HR department (with SharePoint) can cover a big spectrum of tasks, ranging from forms, onboarding, e-learning, recruitment, appraisals, promotions, compliance of policies and procedures etc.Â
As you may know I work for a company that develops two packages that will help out…
We have DocRead for SharePoint which is our policy management software. We also just released DocSurvey, which allows you to set quizzes and surveys for staff. DocSurvey and DocRead also integrate together nicely. For example, you can author a policy (or procedure) and then upload it to SharePoint. Once it’s in a SharePoint document library, you can then also attach a quiz (to test they understand it) and then distribute and track the whole thing with DocRead.Â
Both of our applications together offer a really nice “on-boarding” solution because as soon as you have assigned a document (and quiz) to a SharePoint group you can leave DocRead to manage the process. As new people get added to the group, DocRead will automatically send them their required tasks. If users leave the group, DocRead will remove their reading tasks and generate receipts for auditing purposes.Â
