I’m trying to determine if I get a hyperlink to a document in a document library will that hyperlink only point to that version of the document or will it always pull up the most current version?

Here is the URL convention that Mark mentioned.
<site URL>/_vti_history/512/<library name>/<path name>/<filename>
It adds 512 for each major version.
On a related note, is there a way to create a custom list view that will display links to the most recent major (approved) version of files only?
