Hi,
So I am setting up a dev environment with SMTP and incoming email for SP2013.
After some extra hours of work I finally was able to send mail to the address and the email (eml file) lands in the famous drop folder and seems to be taken care of since it nicely disappears after the email timer job is ran.
HOWEVER, the document library is still empty! Why??
I have granted all the access needed to the wss_admin_wpg and wss_wpg users  for the drop folder.
SharePoint OOB functionality for you. Right.Â
ULS log? It only says 1 item was processed. That’s all.

Thanks for you questions.
I am sending from a gmail account, which is an anonynmous user. But do I really need to enable this?
I enabled anonymous access on web application, The whole site started to work slower.
In the library, Anonymoys Access gave me the only option to select View Items. (Add,Edit and Delete were already greyed out and not selectable).
The EML is just a standard test email from my local Mozilla Thunderbird.Â
And the library is still not receiving the email.
Does the EML have a From address of the SharePoint Outgoing Mail “From” address? What level of access are you allowing to the Document Library, anonymous or permission required?
