Good Day,
I am a new member and this is my first post …. hopefully it’s where it belongs 🙂
I have been tasked with creating a Sharepoint presence for our IT department, and currently working on an inventory replacement form. I have successfully created the form in Infopath 2013, and published to Sharepoint, however, whenever a new entry is made the previous entry is removed. Â I would like an ongoing list of entries, and not sure what is preventing this.
Thank you in advance, and I look forward to talking shop with everyone.
Regards,
Bryan
Glen.
I used the concat function and it worked like a charm. Â Thanks again for your help!!
They are two submits, not edits. I think Glen hit the nail on the head.
Thank you for your reply.
Thank you Glen. I will try the suggestions and give it a whirl.
Yes if you are just editing the form, then it would replace his name with yours. Â It’s the same form and you are just changing the people picker. Â If you needed to record a history of who had their name in that field, it could be done by adding a comment section with versioning turned on. Â You could then have a workflow write the name in that field to the comment section each time the ticket is edited. Â You are likely to end up with some unwanted entries though.
