Might also be worth doing a procmon whilst reproducing the issue too.
I tried to be clever and remove any Libraries to see if that would cause an issue. It did but it at least had the decency to give me a correlation ID and not just nothing.
Have not tried this yet. I will try when I can access the environment again.Â
Really hope that it is something like that :).
It is an odd one but I definitely think it is a client side issue as the key thing you have noted is that if you reference images within SharePoint and stay within SharePoint it works, only when it tries to do something that would need to access say Windows Explorer or the Local machine to obtain the image does it fail.
Out of interest are you able to upload documents OK, as I would expect this to possibly fail also?
Yes, I did this from a client PC.
I wil try to:
- Do it from the server
- See if it is in trusted sites
- And in the end start fiddler to trace
Never tried this error before. It is working fine on my test-envornment, this is a clean production environment, but it fails.
