Hye recently i come across an idea of integration sharepoint with team foundation server because i found out my other project team integration their projects into TFS. So i would like know what is the advantages/benefit that we can achieve through this integration. IS that the integration will have any negative side effect? I hope community members can enlighten me on this topic. I hope to see helpful reply to consider for the integration. Thanks.
People might be struggling in using both Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS) and SharePoint because TFS does provide many collaboration features for software development team, such as Version Control, Work Item Tracking, Test Case Management, Build automation while SharePoint seems to provide the same… Imagine if your development can smoothly plan and work on TFS through those features while project managers and team members can easily share project document, information, discussion; and collaborate together and participate in project activities from a same project at a centralized location. At the end of the day, your project runs smoothly through a solid collaboration while all things are well managed and controlled.
I hope I can have spare time to write a little bit of why TFS and SharePoint better work together.
