Hi all,
We’ve recently launched our new Sharepoint 2013 portals for students internally at the College I work in. All is going great and everyone is happy with the farm. I however need to take the systems down to run some patches and do some general behind the scenes work that will interrupt usage.
The main issue I have is that users can and do hit the system at all sorts of hours and I’m trying to enforce a weekly down time schedule that may/may not be used.
What is the best way to take down the farm and stop users accessing the features? Unfortunately high availability is off the cards as I need to do some work on the services running and move them/tweak them.
Regards,
Kevin
