HiÂ
I am using SharePoint (2013) managed metadata navigation , but have found a bug. when setting the “Navigation Node Type” it says if you don`t provide a URL for the simple link or header , the navigation node will be text only. For my setup when i do not provide an URL it is not text only but a clickable link , which normally goes to a invalid page.Seems to be generating the page ? Could anyone help me investigate this or suggest a work around. Some navigation menus need only to be text headers but i cannot get this to work with the managed metadata navigation? Many thanks Andrew
Here is an update to clarify.
What i mean is that some navigation nodes need only to be text headers. So if i leave the navigation node field “Simple link or Header” empty these nodes should only be text headers but for some reason they are clickable and a URL generated. No coding only out of the box.
I’m not sure I’m completely following. You aren’t specifying a SimpleLink and you are expecting this to create a Term in navigation, but go to a broken page?
Are you doing this via code and if so, can you Share? Generally speaking the terms will inherit from parent term sets for the navigation by default.
