Just wanted to start a thread for those testing the new Edge browser from Windows 10 against SharePoint.

At the moment while it might be a very fast browser and standards based, it looks like its a fairly painful experience for SharePoint 2010 users.

My current experience with it is:

1) Failing to store the credentials for our SharePoint webs (resulting in multiple prompts for credentials – even though it does offer the chance to save/remember the password)

2) Cant open Office documents other than in the web browser

3) Wiki page editing is not working, which is strange as that works in pretty much every browser. Entering double square brackets, which should allow you to type characters and be offered other wiki pages does nothing.

I’m concerned that Microsoft are nearing their release for Windows 10 and it doesn’t look like anything has been done for SharePoint testing – it seems like there response will be use IE. However that’s a hard sell to users, who already find it hard to understand why firefox/chrome and other browsers have issues. To explain that Microsofts own new browser doesn’t work is infuriating.
