Hello, is it possible for a user to not receive a task notification email, but could still log into a site to view the task assigned to them?

Could you use a Custom List instead of a task list. There could be a view for the current user.

Instead of using “Assign Task”. You could just create a new item in the task list and assign it to the person. This will not fire off an email.

Thanks Beau. There’s no way for the workflow to skip the email and just generate the task (w/o any additional human intervention)?
Hey Lawrence, yes you can suppress them. If you click the down arrow where it says “assign this task to this user”, select properties, you should be able to set WaiveAssignmentEmail to yes.
