I think I know the answer to this already based on what I’ve been able to read, but thought I’d see if anyone else had seen this issue.
Have a user who has in the past been able to approve forms (InfoPath forms with SP Designer workflows). Same user has been able to checkout and edit documents from a document library. Â Now all of a sudden he cannot. Â The forms just won’t open (says the form has been closed). Â The Checkout of the document (Word documents) says he needs a Windows SharePoint Services-compatible application and IE 6.0 or greater. Â He has Office 2010 and IE 9.
We are running MOSS2007 and Office 2010. Â In checking the user’s machine, the IT Tech noticed that he had downloaded and installed Microsoft SharePoint Workspace 2010 to his machine. Â Since all machines are imaged by IT and this item is not part of the image and wasn’t there a month ago when he last had issues, we know this was a self-install.
From what I’ve read this client product requires SharePoint Server 2010 (which we do not have), and I am guessing that it would be interfering with his ability to view and edit documents from Forms and Document Libraries within our MOSS environment.
Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks for the insights, Jereme! I had thought that FrontPage 2003 might be an issue as well
Microsoft FrontPage 2003 and its extensions could also be a starting point. I can see he has multiple installs of different office products. Get the user to login somewhere else with a different PC and see if he still has the same problem if not then its the machine configuration, I would remove all office products Reboot and Reinstall.
