That’s the message spotted today when installing Office ProPlus on an Enterprise E3 Office 365 account:
Anyone have any idea what this means? Maybe it’s about forms services going away, but I was expecting a 1-year notice before that happened.
Okay, I think I got it figured out. After further investigation it turns out the person who got the message was switching activations between an Office plan that does include InfoPath and one that does not. This would explain the reason for the InfoPath-specific message. Thanks Eric for getting me thinking in the right direction.
Does it say “InfoPath” when you look at the message from other Office products? I thought it just showed the name of the product you were using, but could be wrong.
I hadn’t thought of that possibility, but I’m not sure I’m convinced. Why would it only mention InfoPath? And what features of InfoPath would NOT be disabled when the rest of Office was disabled for non-activation?
I believe it just means most features of InfoPath, and the rest of your Office install, will be disabled because you haven’t activated the product.
