How can I customize the “DEFAULT” App Launcher in Office 365? (Is it possible?).
For those who really need this function and can’t wait for Office 365 to do this I would suggest Workspace 365. It is a browser-based workspace on top of Office 365 which allows you to pin applications or live information directly to an individual user or a group. So while it is an extra license, it does integrate Office 365, the file server and any application (web-, local- or hosted applications) within one digital workspace. Feel free to check it out at https://www.workspace365.net
As Drew said in the chat, if anyone needs this feature please vote it up on UserVoice! https://office365.uservoice.com/forums/273493-office-365-admin/suggestions/8544421-allow-the-admin-to-pin-custom-tiles-to-the-app-lau
How do you want to customize it? What tiles are displayed? Style and color?
The app launcher is built to be customized by a user and not at the enterprise level.

I would not recommend making any styling changes to the defaul tiles or structure as this has been an area that has been changing a lot recently especially around risizing and moving around. Also it is not currently possible to set what tiles are “on” by default for all employees. Administrators can add new tiles as options but a user must go pin them to their own app launcher.
The ability to manage end user tiles is very highly voted in O365 user voice.
