Office 365 has a feature (subscription) for Rights Management. From what I am reading this can be used for protecting sensitive company data; sharing data with external users, etc. I see it works with SharePoint Online as well. I was wondering if anyone in the community is using this feature and what is your current experience? What approach was used? Roadmap followed if any and any best practices I should be aware of? Please add your comments below.
1. So, is it safe to say the IRM for SPOnline is “only” done “in” SPOnline?
2. If I set up a Azure RM policy template to a AD group and a user in that group creates and uploads a document in a SP library, will that document have the policy applied to it even though I don’t have IRM configured on the SPOnline Library?
