Can somebody please suggest me the possible options to setup content deployment between an on-premise SP 2013 site to an Internet site hosted on a separate farm on cloud? And the best practices.

Agree – it’s very restrictive. I think there are a few 3rd party tools that allow you deploy “content” to 365, but not full farm solutions as that’s impossible.
