Atually I have a client want to move in premise to office 365 with contents.
Is that possible to take site collection backup using PowerShell/stsadm and move it to office 365.
I know that issue will come with Users but is that possible. Need to know your thought over this.
Agree – it’s very restrictive. I think there are a few 3rd party tools that allow you deploy “content” to 365, but not full farm solutions as that’s impossible.

Can we do content deployment from SharePoint on premise to office 365. There is no any custom farm solutions like webparts,etc.
Hello Gopi – please can you add a little more information about the destination farm? What version of SharePoint is it? Is it SP online? I will get a few people I know to have a read.
