In our SharePoint 2013 On-Premise production environment, we are running a particular InfoPath form with a SharePoint Designer workflow. There are several steps in the workflow and it works fine from SharePoint. However, if the user is trying to open the automatic email tasks (from the workflow task list) using the OPEN THIS TASK button:
Clicking the button pops up a window too quickly to read it’s contents and then nothing else happens. (Outlook 2010 and 2013).
However, click the request access here link, open the Task appropriately.
The link to the actual form opens fine, unless the user’s default web browser is Internet Explorer. The forms are all browser enabled and open fine in the browser except from IE.
On my desktop, which is running InfoPath 2010, I get an error message that the template was created with a newer version of InfoPath.
On my laptop, which is running InfoPath 2013, I get an error message that the form does not have full trust.
My recommendation to fix the workflow/email issue is to turn off the default emails in the workflow task list and add custom workflow emails.
