Request:
- We don’t want PowerApps users to be able to modify their submissions when in VIEW ITEM, but
- We do want them to be able to select their submission from VIEW ITEM and COPY/CREATE NEW submission item that carries over the fields they had previously entered and then lets them update those fields and then submit as a new item.
Background:
- We have been testing the use of PowerApps built on top of SharePoint lists for more user friendly forms for supply chain PO management and requisition forms to initiate RPA bot runs.
- These work great for single-submission items, however users typically have similar requests they submit and do not want to re-type everything all over again. I haven’t been able to figure out the following based on my limited experience in PowerApps. The apps have the standard 3 screen setup (BrowseScreen1, DetailScreen1, EditScreen1).
I have spent hours looking online and asking others, and we can’t seem to figure out an easy solution. Please help!

Hi Cari,
You have to set the default property of the columns. Check if the below link helps.
