Hello,
I work wiht MSSP2010 Foundation.
I have a workflow implemented in a develop local machine. The application sends several emails to different users involved in the workflow. My application and the workflow run ok.
Then I create a package and I update the application in a pre-production server. In this pre-production server the WF work ok, but 1 of the 4 possibles emails never is sent to the final user. The other 3 possible emails run well.
I think that, the problem with the email that never run, must be related with the sharepoint configuration on the pre-production server.
What configuration could I check in order to detecting the problem?
Thank you in advanced for any idea.
Regards,
MarÃa
Sorry… I didnt understand before…
I have 2 servers, 1 for database and another one for SP. I checked the configuration and it’s the same in pre-production and in the developed and production servers…
There is too an input for the outgoing mail server, but in the 3 servers this record is “Not configured”

Hi Maria,
Sorry, with WFE I mean Web front end server.
For instance, you might have 1 Application server (that runs search and other service applications) and 2 Web Front End servers that handle user requests. You can check this in Central Administration under System Settings -> Servers in farm.

Hi Maria,
This is just a wild guess, but since 3 out of 4 e-mails are sent correctly, is it true that the pre-production farm uses multiple WFE’s? It is possible that the outgoing e-mail server that you configured in Central Administration only allows to send e-mails from 1 WFE.
Kind regards, Nico
Hello Sami,
The outgoind email configuration is the same in pre-production than in my local machine and the production server…
My WF is developed with VS.
Thank you in advanced,
MarÃa
