I’m trying to publish a sample template from InfoPath 2013 to an internal install of SharePoint 2013. When I try to use the publish wizard, I get an error “Cannot update library or list.” The user I’m using is setup as an administrator in SharePoint. I’ve tried both an existing form library as well as the option to create a new one, same error. I can login to sharepoint with the user and manually create a form library. I can delete the form library, I can post documents to it.Â
The only thing I can say doesn’t line up with all the documentation I’ve read is that the Security Level in the publishing wizard is listed as Domain. Of all the videos I’ve seen, it says Restricted.
I have full access to the sharepoint server, is there a log I can go look at somewhere to try and figure out whats going on? I’m guessing this is still some kind of permissions or configuration issue on the server, but am unsure as to where to look next. Is there a service that has to be running on the server that isn’t? Something in IIS? What’s odd is that when I click Finish on the publish dialog, it prompts me for a username/password. I enter the valid credentials of the admin user and it won’t accept it. It prompts 3 times before giving the above mentioned error.
I’ve been following this tutorial:Â http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/infopath-help/publish-a-form-template-to-a-server-running-microsoft-windows-sharepoint-services-HP010100541.aspx

I think this issue is caused by promoted fields?

vlad, no, but there really aren’t any new features

I agree, it sounds like a promoted field issue. ULS logs would probably help identify it (hopefully).
