We would like to know whether SharePoint is going to support both the APIs(SOAP and REST based) in future as well? Also let us know if enhancements in future will be added to both the APIs(SOAP and REST)?

If you read Jeremy Thake’s excellent SPChat recently he mentions that the ASMX end-points are deprecated in favour of REST. So I would be concentrating on REST services if I were you.
