I searched the blogs and discussions for references to RSS feeds and bandwidth overuse – without success. I also searched for credible sources on the web.
Here goes: Recently I have been promoting, pushing the use of RSS feeds and the viewer web part for our department and team sites in SP2013. Some business users like the idea of value-added content on their home pages (i.e. currency rate, industry news headlines, etc.).
Before we go too far with this, am I setting us up for increased bandwidth use on our SharePoint server? Is there a measurement of typical bandwidth use i.e. one or two RSS viewer web parts on a page, showing only the 5 recent headlines?
Thanks in advance.
