Searching for “Lis” does not returns Lissowsky as search result.
- “Lisowski” find Lissowsky
- “Lis*” find Lissowsky
- “Lissows” does not returns Lissowsky as search result.
- “Lissowsk” find Lissowsky
My problem: by search result page customization if I customize searchquery text with “*” it returns after “Lis” result Lissovsky but I will loose Phonetic searching. Any Idea?

That depends. If you are using the Lissowsky search as an example to discuss overall SharePoint search, there isn’t much you can do about that. However, I would heavily stress that you create some more streamlined result sources to make it easier for your users to get around. One of the nice things about SharePoint search though is that as your users use it, the results will get better.

Is this a regular search box, or is it a custom search you set up?
