Hello friends,
What would be the correct way to install SP2 for SharePoint 2010 Server. So far, I’ve come up with the following:
1. Install SP2 for SharePoint Server 2010: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=39672
2. Install SP2 for language packs that you might have for SharePoint 2010: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2687450
3. Install SP2 for Office Web Apps/Project Server/Search Server etc.
My main question, is it still mandatory to install SP2 for Foundation first and then install SP2 for SharePoint Server?
I know they changed the bits for Cumulative Updates, but I can’t find information about this on Service Pack 2.

I think, there is nothing bad in installing SP2 for Foundation before SP2 for Server. Just in case. It won’t take much longer, but you’ll feel safer. Nevertheless, I’ve also heard that the latest updates include foundation updates. We already had some minor troubles believing in it a while ago. So, I guess, It’s up to you to believe it or not.
