Heard a lot of rumours when SharePoint 2013 was in beta, but it’s gone kind of quiet. Does anyone know what the state of play is with the Education services ?
That would explain why they’re leaving the bits present, on the other hand, I’ve only heard from MSFT that it was a beta feature not fully implemented and will not be supported moving forward.
I heard from some good sources it will come once yammer it’s integrated.  They didn’t want to implement it in RTM, because it would have made the process of migrating my sites > yammer  more complicated with it enabled.Â
I think the focus would have been lost as they offer O365 for free to Education….and it’s a BIG freebie.
Our largest 365 customers are all academic institutions.

Yeah, it is a dead service. Â Unfortunate, too. Â It seemed to be fairly complete when I played with it. Â This would have been a nice Blackboard competitor and SLK replacement.
