I am trying to configure the connectivity between SharePoint 2016 and the new Office Online Server. I have then both installed on separate 2012 R2 servers. I first followed these steps for configuring the Office Online Server:

I then configured these steps for the connection between SharePoint and Office Online:
I wasn’t able to run the powershell command a second time for registering the SQL server since the only thing I changed was the GUID for SQL. But it did run for the SharePoint server.
I go into my SharePoint site and I am not able to open any office documents, and when I go to create a new document it doesn’t give the the option to create one using Office Online.
Any suggestions?
