SharePoint will have a tough challenge to keep up with competition..
Is Huddle is the #1 SharePoint alternative for enterprise collaboration and content management
What is your opinion?
About the article and on the statement.
Anything that comes close to being a rival will more than likely end up being brought and wrapped into the product or discarded down the line I’m thinking. I’m also thinking it’s pretty poor. Non Story indeed.
John,
I completely agree with your Non Story. And all the ABM’r’s (Anything But Microsoft) are looking for any quote they can to fuel the fire. This is typical of anti-enterprise type companies that are targeting the CIO’s who live by “the Consumerization of IT” standard. Enterprises still do not like the wild, wild, west where the user “Makes” the standard. Setting a standard is another discussion…
Agreed. There are other “content collaboration” server products out there, but that’s just a portion of what SharePoint is. SharePoint is extensible, provides BI tools, and so forth. Pretty much each individual piece of SharePoint can be found elsewhere, but not as one package.
My experience with Huddle is limited but it isnt half the product SharePoint is
Then I stopped reading when I got here:
“Alastair Mitchell, the chief executive officer of Huddle, says that “SharePoint is dying and soon such legacy enterprise technology will be extinct.”
Corporate sales clap trap. Non story in my opinion.
