Hi All,
Could you tell which SP Microsoft Certifications you found useful to have? How was your story with getting the certificates? What could be a good choice to start with while being a beginner in Sharepoint? Do you think that it can make sense to do certificate for SP 2010 or rather focus on 2013 as most of the companies will move there at some point (if not yet)?
Thank you in advance for your responses and advices!
Thank you Matthew and Vlad for your quick responses. I spoke with Marcus of the Microsoft Certification Guidance Team and he informed me that any MOS exam you pass will grant access/title to MCP.
It changed recently so I don’t got the answer. In the past, every certification gave you an MCP, however I know that  when I check my transcript now I have an “Old MCP” and a new one since I got my MCSA Windows Server 2012….
Maybe Vlad will know this  as I am not sure. This page says if you pass any MSFT exam you become an MCP (even the MTA exam which is lower, but notice the MOS are not listed here):

Yet on the left side of this page it says:
https://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/exam-77-419.aspx
- Credit toward certification:Â MOS
So you are “something” with the 77-419 I just don’t know if it is an MCP or MOS I think.
Matthew
Matthew,
Are you aware if passing the 77-419 grants you the title of being a MCP? I’m about to take a few SharePoint/Office 365 exams and was just curious. I haven’t found anything that says yes/no yet.
Hi Mark,
These are the only 2 I know about for o365:
