The 1000 Members milestone is close, and with the boos we had today , it will arrive a lot faster than we anticipated!
I think it would be really really cool to have a nice giveaway to celebrate this! I think we should offer a lot of small prizes. Either they need to have had some activity in the past .. month? or at least logged in once.
So, What I need from you Reps is:
1. How long? Ex: During 1 week, 5 winners every day. or , all prizes during one day.
2. How many prizes? Many Small Prizes VS a few bigger ones.
3. Prize Ideas? For now we got let’s say, 5 eBooks? 5 Pluralsight 1 month subscriptions?
Matthias had some nice ideas; Create custom t-shirts , mousepads, etc with SharePoint related stuff. For example, a Coffee Mug with ‘Keep Calm and Reset IIS’. or a MousePad with “SharePoint Community.Net” (you get the idea).
Furthermore, we can also sell those on Zazzle, and a % goes back to us to pay for the community.
4. What they do to enter? Write A blog post, comment on something, Log in? (I can export data in excel see when they last logged in ) .
Any other ideas!
I mean, from the “random draw”, do we automatically exclude people who didn’t log in , in the past 30 days for example?
Hm, just logging in as a criteria seems a little to easy 🙂
I would rather do a random giveaway. Everybody has the same chance (excluding us reps 🙂 )
Alternatively the the ones win who bring in the most new members in a week… (if there is a way to track that, i.e. with a personalized invitation link)
5 eBooks and 5 pluralsight 1 month subscriptions sound great!
The other thing with the SC.net merchandise might be something for the future maybe.
