Folowing on from a shoutout in the chat room earlier for some Powershell scripts for creating UPS attributes and mappings to AD it was suggested a script repository be created.
I believe Vlad has set up a vote http://poll.pollcode.com/yqtgx_result?v
I quite like github but I guess more SharePointers are likely to find code on CodePlex
The issue is tagging them to make them more findable. However, if you can point to a page with each script on, I guess we can use a Listly list that’s got the filters on it. This means anyone can embed the directory of scripts on their own blog.
The other thing – and I think I speak for Vlad to – we are max’d out. So if someone else wants to run with this we can provide the necessary links to the list on here. Or, whatever is needed.
So we need :
1 A Repository
2 Some kind of standards setting (naming convention, description)
3 A Tagging structure to classify each one.
4 A Listly editor to add the scripts as they are written.
Once thats in place – oh my – happy days. What a resource it will be!
