One of our clients wants to migrate from MOSS 2007 to SP2010. His environment which is standalone is mostly customize and he is apprehended to visual upgrade because it would change the entire look and feel for the end users.
Question 1: – Is there a way to upgrade one single sub site so that he can preview the visual upgraded site which would help him taking the decision to migrate. What do you suggest about retaining existing look and feel?
Question 2:- What is the best approach to migrate such farm. It is a standalone build and SP2010 will again be a standalone build?
Question 3:- Any free tool available to migrate the content directly including customizations(hive) from source server(MOSS 2007) to target server(SP2010)?
