Good day to you all.

I’m looking for inspiration. I am completely new to Sharepoint, however I am looking at harnessing it in our organisation. I’m aware of the document management side of things, and that is a main driver for this project, and I know we can (not sure how just yet), replace some of our antiquated Lotus Domino based databases and work flows. However, I am looking to see exactly what can be done, and maybe a guiding light of what is possible.

I’ve looked at some of the microsoft videos for SP2013, however they are all very specifically feature based, and don’t really show how that translates into the whole end user experience.

Can anyone advise whether there are any example environments or videos, or books/guides whereby you can actually see the end product in use, or at least some generic concepts explained.

Sorry if that seems waffley, or made no sense. I hope it does.

If any one can point me in anywhere near a vague direction, I would be very much appreciative.

I’ve scheduled in the official core sharepoint fundamentals 5-day training course, however I’d like to get to grips with the possibilities as much as possible before then.

Many regards
Neil Cotton
