My company is planning to migrate on-premises SharePoint (SharePoint 2010) to on-line, But before doing it, I need to know the pros and cons of on-premises vs online SP and feature differences if there are,
I am a newbie to Sharepoint so thinking to get advice from experts.

Another option is to try third party migration tool, one I can suggest here i.e. Lepide SharePoint Migration tool through which you can easily migrate from on-premises SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint online.
