After toying around with the Forms app (specifically the quizs) in SPO, I realized that its more lightweight than it needs to be for what we were hoping to accomplish.
My main hurdle at this point, is being able to create a UI that allows end users to easily create simple true/false or multiple choice exams which will then populate a SP List with results (cant extract results to a list right now with Forms Preview out of the box) and keep track of yearly refresher requirements and send out email alerts when users certifications will expire. I’m pretty confident that I can scrape something together using lists/powerapps/flow to make that happen (that only takes care of the use/results/tracking/email alerts)…but i keep coming back to the problem of how users will create the tests themselves..having access to the form controls. The Forms Preview nails that part. I just cant see how i can recreate that ease of making a new quiz for users outside of the Forms Preview environment.
I know this is a relative question, but given your average end-user, would creating custom forms in PowerApps be as simple as the UI they use for the Forms App? Or if its possible to create a simple true/false or multiple choice quiz using an excel file as a template to upload and make a custom quiz form of off that? I just dont want to saddle someone in IT into having to create all these custom certification tests or edit them each time we turn around. About 600 employees all taking multiple certs each year, that expire then refresher tests ensue, Â and about a dozen directors that will be in charge of creating and maintaining the tests.
Just hoping someone out there has worked on similar solutions using SPO.
