I need to understand how Sharepoint compares to Jive software. Does anyone know this or where I can find a comparison matrix please?
Thank you.
If a company is considering Jive – http://online.wsj.com/article/PR-CO-20140220-909666.html
Might want to look at this:
Zeldes Haeggquist & Eck, LLP, a shareholder and consumer rights litigation firm, has commenced an investigation into Jive Software Inc. (“Jive Software” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: JIVE) to determine whether Jive Software and the Company’s Officers and Directors have violated the federal securities laws or breached their fiduciary duties owed to the Company and its shareholders.
The investigation focuses on whether Jive Software failed to disclose that its fourth quarter operating losses were dramatically……………..
Definitely out of the box thinking
Thank you for your response and for sending me the link Kerry, it’s much appreciated. I think the company I’m talking to are paying £15K a year for Jive, which seems a heck of a lot for what it is and for the use they are getting out of it.
I do wish that we were only using SharePoint here. Jive IS a good product. But if one has SharePoint, then it seems there’s overlap. And integration, as Kerry points out, is definitely easier if using the MS stack. I’ve got a low-tier business class Office 365 license that my wife and I use at home, and O365 impresses me more every day!
Emma,
From my experience, Jive is over priced.
The key that Microsoft has is the all important ingredient called ‘integration’.
I would also recommend taking a hard look at Office 365 (aka SharePoint Online) and all of the features and functionality; Microsoft is all in with device agnostic mobility, updates every 2 months, BI, connected, security, etc.
Regarding Jive, I found this review that may be helpful (this may require registration)
