Should Microsoft kill SharePoint?
The link refers to an interesting article on Memeburn that appeared on the internet and is based on Gartner’s analyst Jeffrey Mann’s opinion. The header attracts, but the message is different.
Should SharePoint stay or should it go? What is your opinion?
About the article and on the statement.
@Dave, that is just the reason why I have opened the discussion.
Let the experts have their say about the statement and give SharePoint 2013 the right direction.
Gartner have a love hate relationship with SP.
many of their ‘experts’ have little real world experience
Yeah Dave, that’s just a bit of a weird statement as it stands right now.
Interesting.
How will putting SP in the cloud provide a better user experience, a claim that is made by the author.
@Mark, I couldn’t agree with you more. We have the sane experience.
What we miss and that is what I have also read in other comments, is that there is/will be a withholding area for products from ISV’s so that can test their solutions before it is released to the customer in SP online.
That could prevent situations as we have experienced that the migration to server 2013 was causing lots of problems with our Sandbox solution for contract life cycle management.
