We have an issue when we paste and link Excel cells within a Word document that are both stored in SharePoint.

The paste and link works well but the problem is when we try to open the Excel file to edit it by clicking on the embeded item in the Word document, the Excel open in read only mode and the toolbar that allow to «Edit Workbook» is not visible.

We are using Office 2013 and SharePoint 2013 on prem.

Any hints?
