We are considering the option to have our customers sign off on SharePoint (2013) List Forms via tablet. Does anyone have any advice and/or suggested products that will allow us to do this? I have researched a few but would like recommendations if possible. Thanks!
I’m just finishing up an esignature solution that uses the SPS 2010 Collect Signatures WF. @Glen you’re right the signature needs a Cert to verify the signer. I originally looked at a 3rd party solution (ARX Co-sign) but the price tag was just over $50K.
For the certs we are using Windiws Active Directory Certificate Server. It’s part of Windows Server. Saved us a bundle.. as 3rd Party cost, just for the Certs was $140.00/cert.
I explored a similar request but it boiled down to does the signature need to be guaranteed that its the person signing it (using certificates) or not. If not, any sort of “signature” will do… In our case we just have a button that enters the user’s AD account.
Hi Melissa – if that’s all you need why don’t you add a picture column to the document library and add the graphic against that?
Mark-The problem we are running into is finding a product that will allow list item signatures that are not necessarily “digitally stamped”, but just a graphic of a signature from an external client (who we don’t want to buy a license for each time we get a new client”).
I find products for document signature, but that is not what we need. We have been told to purchase a “list print to PDF” product, then sign that PDF with a graphic signature. We don’t want a document separate from (or even attached to) a list item. It’s not efficient for our uses and is a waste of storage.
After all that, might you have any other recommendations? Much appreciated.
