Hey all I have a question about SP13 community sites. When a member of the site leaves they are removed from view on the members list, although I have noticed two things:
The member is still visible in the members lists admin view
More annoyingly though they are still visible on the Whats happening webpart on the front page, so there are three members in a community and one leave the whats new still shows that there are three members instead of two.
Also if I delete a discussion and also delete it from all recycling bins it still shows in the whats new webpart.
I think I’m missing something obvious but i’m not sure what, anyone came across this behavior before?
UPDATE 2
Ok well apparently if you have removed the users from the site and deleted their posts but the Whats new webpart still shows them, you can Deactivate and then Reactivate the Community Site Feature. Existing posts and members are not affected but the reactivation must clear things up.
There must be a better way but for now I’ll leave it at that.
