I have done the search by using BCS connectivity in Sharepoint 2013.
My task is I want to check the spell of given words in the search box
For example : If i type “TOAL” in search box… It want to show “Do you mean “Tool”?” such as in Google Search..
This should be develop using Visual studio 2010 in the im going to pass the search web services…
Can anyone pl help me??
Hi,
SharePoint Search already has a thesaurus capability. You should look to exploit this first. Many common misspellings are already in however; research Replacement Words and Expansion Words. For english, the thesaurus is called tsenu.xml and is located in \14.0\Data\Office Server\Applications\GUID-query-0\Config.
Also, you should look at query suggestions which will provide the “Did you mean” for query suggestions. If you haven’t done this yet can I suggest you start off with the following article.
