Hello Everyone,
I have a user who is experiencing issues with working on Excel spreadsheets in a document library.
- When trying to open a document it states that the document is already checked out to the user, when it is not.
- When opening a spreadsheet it is saying that a newer version is available and do you wish to download a copy? This is not the case
- I also get an error when I try and open the document on my machine opening it in Excel. The WebApp is fine. My machine is lightening fast running Windows 8.1 and Office 2013
The user does have a slow computer:
Dual Core i3 2.6 with 2GB RAM!
SharePoint Online E3
Windows 7
Office 2007

That sounds like a document cache problem. Try clearing the cache: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/manually-rename-the-office-document-cache-HA101848838.aspx
