At the risk of continuing to beat the Advertising dead horse some more has anyone had any experience with banner/newsletter ads via either NBSP or TechAds?
FULL DISCLOSER: I am a blogger and my personal blog is on the marketplace.Â
Honestly, I think the 1K per month is a bit too much. How many ads did you click while being there? The cool offers that I think the marketplace gives is reviews! Â For example, a review on my blog is 500$ and Wendy 800$ trough TechAdNetworks. Â However, you can always contact the bloggers directly and maybe deal a better price.Â
There are many options, Ads, Community Broadcasts, Reviews, etc. Â You choose which one is worth the price for you!Â
I’m interested in hearing about experience with this network as well!

I think there’s a few on here (Wendy, Vlad, Trevor) that actually display the ads so they’d give you the perspective from the other side. I am personally done with ads. I don’t know if my ads are poor or what, but I get virtually no decent leads from them. (It’s still SEO and referrals from here for me). I am also about to try some new ways on here. Couple of ideas :
Idea 1 : 3 question quiz. (Winner takes a tablet out of a raffle).
We will ask 3 fairly simple question about DocRead, but to find these you will need to visit our site and find the answers it. (Maybe even a treasure hunt!).
Idea 2 : How would you use DocRead ? (Winner is voted for by us, takes a tablet).
This is all about the entrant looking at our product and thinking of a nice way of using it (there are many ways). They then reply to a public discussion which will hopefully give others inspiration.
From the competitions we have seen so far, engagement is very high and this place is really starting to brim. Prizes are a good way of getting your product out there as the members get something cool they could win!Â
