I have been asked if individual blog posts can be set to not allow comments or to be able to turn off commenting for a blog post at some point (not automatically).
The only way I can think of to do it after banging my head on it for 4 hours or so is some fancy jQuery to hide the add comment form and related text. Â The fact that there is no unique class or easily identifiable ID to use in the JS is what will make the script difficult.
Anybody have any other ideas?

I didn’t work with Blogs yet in SharePoint 2013, so don’t think I could help. hopefully someone else here did 🙂
