We have a MOSS 2007 Farm made up of 3 servers (2 Web Front End’s and 1 Application server) currently running on Windows Server 2003 R2 x64. We are planning to upgrade MOSS 2007 farm running on Windows Server 2008 R2 OS. i.e. Just wanted OS upgraded and using the same hardware.
Any advice or links to resources would be appreciated.
Inplace upgrade in pain – Better create new Server with 2008 R2, install SharePoint and add to the farm and move the roles – Later you hit SQL! This is safe !
