Hi All,
How we can change the user permission withing sharePoint group
Suppose i have group “HR Group”
Users in HR group “User-1” and “Usre-2”
Now I want to set the User-1 Permission Level [Full Control] and User-2 permission Level [View onliy] withing “HR Group”
Thanks

As far as permissions are concerned, the purpose of groups is to apply the same permissions to multiple people. So if you want to give an entire group of people rights to a document you can say HR Group has [Full Control] and everyone listed within that group will get full access. It makes things easy because you can manage your permissions based on roles/groups. If you wanted to have differing levels of access, as Joseph noted, for different people within HR, you would need to create two groups. HR Admins [Full Control] and HR Viewers [View Only] then add users directly to those groups. There is no way to split out permissions directly within a group.
If you instead just wanted to give Judy (Head of HR) Full rights and everyone else keeps their View Only rights, you would just give her explicit permissions on the item and not use a group at all.
So when assigning permissions to an item (Site, Library, Document,…) you can either give rights to a Person, or a Group of People.
