Hi,
I struggled already alot with this User Profile Synchronisation Service. I am Running SharePoint Server 2013 Service Pack 1.
I end up with the following error always:

Unerwartete Ausnahme in FeedCacheService.IsRepopulationNeeded: Connection to the server terminated,check if the cache host(s) is running .
Can anyone help me?

I made Progress! There are some bugs in SP1 of SHP 2013. You have to Install at least April 2014 CU.
