I am a graduate student currently examining social collaboration platforms for my master thesis. I would like to hear your experiences in team-work using SharePoint. Have a minute to spare? Then I would like to invite you to take part in my study: https://ww2.unipark.de/uc/teamworkscpe/
Thanks a lot ?
Thanks for helping Christian! Luisa I’ve also filled it in so I do hope you get enough responses to help your analysis. I think we’re in a period of transition kicked off by tools such as Slack, Beezy and MS Teams. Your survey made me realize that we BARELY EVER use e-mail to communicate internally now. Slack (for us) changed all of that.
Thank you, you guys are awesome! All of you seem much more advanced than the Germans i surveyed when it comes to social software. I’m excited about the results, maybe i’ll even try a cultural comparison as an extra 🙂
While SharePoint’s collaboration features are improving, it’s a mistake to look at it as a stand-alone solution.
It’s the Office suite of tools that provide a unified solution. And that means Outlook (email, groups), Skype, Delve, Planner…
When used in unison and appropriately, they provide a solid set of tools.
Then I would suggest that you answer the questions in the light of the Office suite 🙂 What specific kind of platform you think about when answering is up to you completely! But I also want to find out, if such platforms CAN work standalone or if the inclusion of other tools (like Skype, Dropbox,…) is necessary!
Luisa, completed your survey — happy to talk to you about your project, if you are interested. I am the CMO and chief evangelist at Beezy, a social collaboration ISV. Our solution works natively with SharePoint. I have also been involved with social tools/technologies since the mid-1990’s, so would be happy to provide some insights into the space.
