Can anyone suggest some way to maintain versions of file types which are unknown to SharePoint ? I basically want this to maintain versions of Minitab files having .mpj extension.

I spoke with him earlier. He has setup major versions on the document library. When he saves an MPJ file to the library after the initial upload, the version is not being incremented.
